2023 - 2024 academic year calendar
Sunrise Montessori School programs follow a schedule which is similar, but not identical to the Franklin public school calendar. From time to time special events may be added to the calendar. Parents receive notification of these changes in the monthly newsletter and/or via email.
Our school year is comprised of approximately 36 academic weeks:
September to December has 15 academic weeks & January to June has 21 academic weeks.
On Professional Development Days, scheduled holidays, vacation breaks and snow days, school is not in session, and the Extended Day program is not available. On early release days, all students are dismissed at 11:30am.
In the event that there are more than 3 snow days used during the academic year, the calendar will be revised, and additional days will be added to the school year in June.

Health and Safety during the school year
Sunrise adheres to the health and safety requirements issued by the State of Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care (DEEC).
Please refer to the most up to date guidelines issued by the MA DEEC which address the policies and procedures that all group child care programs, including Sunrise Montessori School, must follow.
Sunrise Montessori School reserves the right to change special events planned during the school year due to inclement weather or health and safety if required by the MA DEEC or local Board of Health.
