Former Director & Head of School
After more than 14 years as Director at Sunrise Montessori School, Karen M. Roeber announced her decision to retire.
As one of the original Founders, Karen has devoted countless hours to ensure the success of Sunrise.
Over the past 14 years she has served as Director, Teacher,
Administrator, Mentor and Colleague. Her vast knowledge of
Montessori Education and Early Childhood Development has
benefited the School and community.
Karen continues to share her knowledge with the Sunrise
community as a member of the School's Board of Directors.

Head of School - Andrea Rossick
Welcome back to school! I am excited to begin the 2019 - 2020 academic year as Head of School.
I joined Sunrise in 2016 as the Head Teacher in Classroom A. I have had the honor to work with wonderful colleagues for the past several years and continue to collaborate with them in my leadership role. This past year marks my 20th year working in Montessori Environments and I completed the administrative qualifications to receive my AMS Administrator’s Credential.
I bring 26 years of experience in Early Childhood Education to Sunrise. My Montessori career started after my son enrolled in a Montessori program in 1999. I began working as an Assistant teacher that same year and my passion and enthusiasm for the Montessori Method and Philosophy developed from that initial experience. Soon after I enrolled in the Northeast Montessori Institute teacher training program and earned my Early Childhood Teaching Credential. I continued working as a Head Teacher for 17 years.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, gardening, and music. I have a special interest in the area of Autism and working with children and adults on the Autism spectrum.
I continue to learn about new research methods of teaching and developments in the field.
