Thank you for your interest in our school. Our school is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Teacher for the 2025 - 2026 school year. This position begins September 2, 2025 and is based on the academic year (September - June).
Montessori Teachers & Interns

Our school has 2 primary classrooms and is licensed for up to 40 children. We adhere to the guidelines issued by the MA DEEC for health and safety.
Hours are 35 hours per week, 8:00am to 3:00pm, working under the supervision of the Head Montessori teacher.
Qualifications
Applicants with at least 1 year of experience working in an Early Childhood classroom with young children are given preference. Applicants must have a minimum certification of Teacher from the MA Dept. of Early Education & Care. Applicants who already have Lead Teacher certification are preferred. Understanding the needs and developmental levels of children in early childhood is essential. Prior experience in a Montessori classroom is a plus, but not required.
Duties include
- completes work delegated by the Head Montessori Teacher.
- assists children whenever they require or request help. Possible scenarios are with arrival/dismissal, recess, assistance/guidance with dressing, cleaning up, conflict resolution and toileting.
- Helps children during lunch and/or snack time when necessary. Encourages age-appropriate independent skills for children. Examples include practicing opening/closing lunch containers; demonstrating how to properly clean up areas where food is eaten.
Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with classroom experience and EEC qualifications. Benefits include paid lunch break, paid sick days, paid personal days, paid Federal holidays, discount for employee’s enrolled child/ren and additional compensation for up to 20 hours of PDP workshops/seminars. Pay range: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
