Preschool and Kindergarten Programs in Franklin

Thank you for your interest in Sunrise Montessori School. We are proud of our accomplishments and have provided quality Montessori programs to children in Franklin and the surrounding towns since 2005. We welcome you to visit us to find out
more about enrolling your child in our Montessori school.

It is our belief that all children have the opportunity to develop to their full potential through guided instruction in a safe and caring environment. Montessori education encourages children to develop at their own pace, practice independence in their social and academic abilities, build self-confidence and establish good work habits which will enable them to become life-long learners.

Montessori education is different from traditional nursery and preschools. Children reach specific milestones throughout early childhood, and Montessori recognizes that these emotional, intellectual and physical skills develop at different rates, each according to the child's own abilities and pace.

Our classrooms are set-up according to the needs of the child - low tables, shelves that are easily accessible and materials specifically designed for small hands. The prepared classroom, along with our highly trained staff, support an environment where children are stimulated and challenged, but not pressured. They are able to experience the excitement of learning through the selection and completion of their own work. Guidance is offered by the staff as necessary, and the children are allowed to engage in a task until they have explored all its possibilities.

In addition to academics, children learn how to become responsible members of their school community. Self respect, respect for others, compassion, and cooperation are key elements that exist and are modeled throughout the school.

Enrolling your child in a quality, early childhood program is an important decision. Many families have joined the Sunrise community after speaking with a current or alum family whose child attends/attended our school. We welcome inquiring families to visit our classrooms either during open house events or by appointment, speak with our staff or current & alum parents and learn more about our programs.
