Sunrise Montessori School, Inc.

Sunrise Montessori School, Inc. is a nonprofit (501c3) organization founded in 2005 by a group of dedicated Montessori teachers, administrators, and parents. The original founders started the school with six students, and the school has grown to a capacity of 39 students today.

In 2009, Sunrise Montessori moved to its new location at 31 Hayward St., Franklin, MA. The school continues to be governed by people, who dedicate their valuable time and support to the school’s growth and who strive to provide an excellent Early Childhood Program for children who attend Sunrise Montessori School.

Sunrise Montessori School carefully follows the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. Our goals for children are to encourage their curiosity and love for learning, to guide and develop their independent skills and to prepare a classroom that will meet the needs of all children. The classrooms are bright and welcoming with plenty of space for a variety of hands-on Montessori materials and activities. Our staff is Montessori trained, and they carefully guide the children in a prepared environment which provides enough freedom of choices to encourage growth to the children's inner potential and to create positive self esteem.

In addition to the school–year preschool & kindergarten programs for Sunrise Montessori School, Inc.

children (ages 2.9 – 6 years) – we also offer extended day and thematic
enrichment programs as well as a summer program.

Our school is located close to the downtown Franklin area, off of
Rt 140 and less than 1.5 miles from Rt 495, exit 17.

Sunrise Montessori School is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and is a full member of both the American Montessori Society and the Montessori Schools of Massachusetts.
