The Sunrise Montessori School Inc. is a non profit organization founded in 2005 by a group of dedicated Montessori teachers, administrators and parents, whose vision it is to provide a nurturing and academic environment for children during the important stages of early childhood development. 

On August 4th 2005, the Department of Early Education and Care (Formally OCCS) issued Sunrise Montessori School Inc. a License to operate a Pre-K - K school in the State of Massachusetts.

Originally, Sunrise Montessori was located at 838 Upper Union Street in Franklin, MA.

In September 2009, Sunrise Montessori School Inc. moved to 31 Hayward Street in Franklin, MA  and offers a quality Montessori education to children from preschool through kindergarten.  

As we begin our 5th year of providing students from Franklin and nearby communities with Montessori education, we anticipate an enrollment beyond 39 students. Our school currently offers extended day care and has begun thematic (Themes) based enrichment programs. In January 2010 we look forward to introducing new afternoon programs.
